Risk Calculator
A simple check to make you think about the level of QA attention a change might need.
What is this?
Not every change needs the same amount of testing. A small UI update and a change to a payment flow can have very different risks. This calculator helps you think about the possible impact of a change and decide where QA attention makes the most sense.
Why I built it
In teams I work with, the discussion is often not about whether risk matters, but about how people define it. What looks like a small change to one person can have a bigger impact somewhere else. This tool is a starting point to help teams ask the right questions during refinement, planning, or before a release.
The result is not a final answer or a replacement for experience. It is a way to start a conversation, make risks visible, and decide together what level of testing makes sense.
Results fall into four tiers: 🔴 Must test · 🟠Should test · 🟡 Could test · ⚪ Doesn't need extra testing
